I was pretty cranky over an Obama win until I found this via cynical nation. Now in the real world (those who don't blog) his election was a deal, but not that big of a deal. But still, this is rather kind and inspiring. It also reminds me of one thing I've forgotten this week - we are together in this.

Rachel, I feel the same way about Obama as I did about Bush-43 - nice guys facing some horrific challenges.
I don't think Barack Obama is a "bad guy," although he does seem woefully naive and very inexperienced.
I think the economic challenges ahead are going to be daunting and it seems that some of the policies he's recommended are going to make things a lot worse, if enacted.
Saying that, I also think some of his biggest critics will come from the Left, who'll want MORE and want things done FASTER....I think those voices would lure Obama toward disaster.
I think most people, 60% or more are Moderate politically, who aren't all that involved in either economic or political issues.
I think some of them are going to get a rude awakening very soon.
As for me, I don't revile or even dislike Barack Obama personally at all, I AM skeptical of his beliefs and doubtful about his stated policy positions, but in truth, I feel as bad for him as I do for Bush-43, an apparent nice guy who faces challenges almost certainly bound to make him very unpopular.
